Girlfriendship
19 MarGirlfriendship is a new term I’ve coined to highlight a relationship that’s jumped the border between best friendship and more-than-friends dating. Its the gray area between dating someone and being with someone. Its the “we’re almost there” tag. I’ve got to say, I’m so happy we’re almost there. The journey has been and still is incredible! Its a relief to be with someone that doesn’t take offense to everything because they’ve got personal insecurity issues to work out. Its a blessing to be with someone that is really around because they enjoy being with me, and not because they just want to have a girlfriend. For the first time I’m really noticing the difference between the two, and the gap is spanning. I really enjoy having you around, Andie. I enjoy waking up next to you in the morning. Somehow I always manage to have an amazing day at work when my morning starts with a cup of you.
Have fun and be safe in Salt Lake, babe. I’ll be kicking it at home, playing the part of the lonely bewberry. So in like, girl.

How We Change in an Instant
11 MarI’m at a place I thought I might never reach… Okay, that’s not completely true, I knew I’d get here someday it just seemed like that someday might come after I had already gone, but it hasn’t.
I’ve started a chapter of my life that feels organic and un-hurried. It took nearly 23 years to get to this point – which felt like an eternity, but compared to some who never get here it can seem relatively quick.
I’m changed. The process of change that started in 2005 and peaked in 2008 has finally come to an end. I can now recognize that I am completely the person I set out to be 5 years ago… I only wish I could say the same for the few in my life that seem to have come to a standstill.
Before I write the next few sentences I feel like I should foreword these statements with a disclaimer. I’m not saying what I’m about to say because I’m angry at you, or because pointing this out makes me feel better in anyway, I’m simply stating what I’ve observed and sharing it with anyone that can take anything from this blog.
Changing your attitude doesn’t change your character. Though your sharp tongue makes a sufficient battle axe against new possible threats to you, it doesn’t do much to combat those that knew you before you developed it. Behind your barbed-wire mouth you’re still the same girl that would rather sacrifice her identity for the love of the person that is stealing it from you. After all this time, you still don’t have that one thing that YOU do. …unless you count traveling to be with people your hobby. I hope one day you can become your own person, and not just a lap dog that can pay her own bills. Obviously there is a difference.
There was another person I would have considered adding to this list, but upon rethinking it I realized that this said person is actually igniting the change she wants to see in her life, so all I can really say is I am behind you 110% whenever you need me, be it as a friend or whatever else. Disneyland soon, please? <3

Oh God, She’s Online Right Now
14 AugEver since I got sick of my old screen name and switched to “i movewithyou” I’ve seen people popping up on my list that blocked me on the old one. Of course the only two people to have blocked me were Lisen and Brittany. Well I saw Lisen online earlier – it’s so sad that she can’t get over whatever it is that bothers her so much and just be cool with the past. But OMG, Brittany is online and I have this open iChat window…sitting on my desktop…waiting for something worth saying to her to come to mind. I have a feeling I’m not going to be typing anything – but Geez, if the adrenaline rush isn’t something.
Tonight + Tomorrow Are Going to Blow My Mind
11 Aug…and possibly my liver, too.
First off, HAPPY BIRTHDAY NICOLE!!! My favorite, Nicole turns another year older today and as she starts her drive out to Las Vegas from LA I have a little bit of time to write this up (a little bit of time = 4 hours). So enjoy these Nicole Burron facts:
- Nicole is one of the best friends I’ve ever had
- Nicole is without a doubt the hottest person I know
- She has a seahorse tattoo. It’s adorable but chances are you’ll never see it.
- Nicole is not a flake. If she says she’ll be there, she’ll be there.
- She and I met at the beach and then got some dinner.
- On that night some sand got in the shifting column of her Nissan 350Z.
- For as long as she owned that car, there was always a little sand in there to remind us of the beginning.
- She has an adorable dog named Angel.
- Every guy who has ever passed her up or wronged her is TOTALLY PISSED AT THEMSELVES!
- She writes the best songs that use less that 3 chords.
- Her sex dreams inspire amazing lyrics about lights and air.
- She looks like Adriana Lima with Jolie’s lips, only she’s much, much more attractive.
- She is my muse.
So because I love my beautiful, loyal friend so much I am taking her out to LAVO tonight at the Palazzo. Joining us will be my distant (maybe even my 2nd or 3rd) cousin Alisha, her boyfriend, my awesome friend Aaron and maybe I’ll even talk Anita and Brit into going. It’s going to be wild, no doubt, as all of my past experiences at LAVO were nights for the books. So here’s to getting really, really drunk, crashing, *hopefully not getting a hangover and then having another crazy night tomorrow because…
Wednesday night is the night to grab your bikes, beers, lights and pull an all-nighter.

This Wednesday night we will be riding from Nu Vision (in Summerlin’s Trails) to Red Rock (the geographic location, not the hotel & casino). From there we hike up to a prime location for stargazing, because it’s the middle of August and you know what that means! What? You say you don’t know? It’s the Perseid meteor showers, kiddo! Climb your roof or favorite tree and tilt your head up to about 90 degrees. What you see will make you believe in beautiful things. If you’re in the Las Vegas area, come out and meet up with us. You don’t have to ride a bike. We will be check pointing at the Chevron on Charleston at about 10:30pm. Make sure you take a cat nap beforehand because chances are this is going to turn into an all night/early morning event. We will also be getting our drink & party on here as well. If you do go and have a good time (yay!) please make sure to clean up your mess. We will be having this event at one of the most naturally beautiful spots in LV, and everybody would like to keep it that way.
So this is like a weekend in the middle of the week for me… and I’m pretty stoked.
And you know when I see all those meteors I’ll be wishing on them like shooting stars…and I’ll be wishing for you.
